A DAY IN THE LIFE...
Running a kickstarter involves many emotions. So many highs. So many lows. After this has all finished I will reflect on the catalogue of events and moments of madness that led to my crazy decision to crowdfund, all the actions taken and emotions experienced as a result.
But for now I thought I would simply show you a day in my life at the moment – running a kickstarter campaign involves a LOT of work, so the following documents my attempts to fit a 48 hour schedule into a 24 hour day.
Things for me to do today
I would like to address number 2 on my list. This comment is entirely genuine – I am amazed, confused, ecstatic, perplexed and forever grateful that so many people have been interested enough in my project to invest their money. Thank you to you all.
I also want to address number 12 on the list. To my pupils: I’m sorry. Sorry if you have noticed my attention wander at all during lessons. I AM still listening, still teaching to the best of my abilities, but my mind is currently running on many more tracks than it is used to. Than it is realistically capable of. You will have my completely undivided attention again after March 7th.
Finally, number 13. If my family are still talking to me despite my tired kickstarter haze, I love you and I look forward to resuming normal life again very soon. Beatrice – don’t learn any new words while I am creating social media content (I can’t believe I said that AGAIN!)
Piano practice? No? Maybe next month…
But for now I thought I would simply show you a day in my life at the moment – running a kickstarter campaign involves a LOT of work, so the following documents my attempts to fit a 48 hour schedule into a 24 hour day.
Things for me to do today
- Check the kickstarter website about 572 times.
- Reply to my wonderful backers.
- Email all the people I haven’t told about the project yet.
- Print some more flyers. Give out some more flyers. Please take some more flyers???
- Create content for social media.
- Battle with my inner demons that surface whenever I think I should post on social media.
- Post something on social media.
- Agonise about annoying people by posting on social media.
- Email some more people I haven’t told about the project yet.
- Should I pay for some more advertising??? Will anyone even see my adverts???
- Re-organise my to-do-list. It feels like I’m being productive without having to think too much.
- Remember that I have pupils to teach. Go and teach them (remember to take emergency flyers).
- Remember that I have a family. Say hello to them.
- Can I do some piano practice now? Maybe tomorrow?
